Life is Improv.
Life is improv.
I often say.
If we view family life as a sitcom, with improv
Even during cumbersome times,
We can then, laugh, ebulliently.
Reframing releases us.
All.
From the foreboding distress
That overwhelms when the little things are out of sync.
When life is improv, we smile through.
Flat tires.
First “I did it all by myself” raggedy haircuts.
Muddy chocolate brown footprints in the entry.
Broken glass windows from the baseball pitcher.
Picasso’s made with red permanent marker on stark white walls.
“Burned to a crisp” meatloaf.
Missed golden yellow school buses and forgotten brown bag lunches.
Helpers emptying the Dawn dish soap, turning kitchen sinks into overflowing bubble baths.
Tabby orange kittens stuffed into carriages and carefully dressed in flowered babydoll clothes.
Instead of anger or strife, remember that Life is Improv,
And chuckle together.
Give the gift of peace and love.
Family life entails a myriad of experiences. Permitting ourselves to release the stress in an already harried world, opens up
possibilities for improv and well-being and quality of life. By adjusting your outlook of the situation for your child, yourself and
your entire family may make all the difference in a peaceful and healthy family life and grow together.

As an aside: I must address the dark side of family occupations. Some families may experience trauma or have critical needs.
These occurrences must be addressed professionally and do not fall within the improv category, nor should they be taken light of.
Please seek professional guidance if you feel that your child, you or your family is experiencing harm, unhealthy dynamics or
family occupations
